How many guests can I have at the wedding?

The property is ideally suited for up to 100 people.  Please keep in mind during covid times that any servers, musicians, etc  would need to be counted.  We will have a staff member on site during the wedding.  We will always have to follow local and provincial laws. 

Can I choose my own caterer?

Yes!  You are free to choose your own caterer.  Our kitchen and bbqs are excellent for 28 overnight guests but are not certified and should not be relied on for wedding reception itself. We do not have preferred vendors but we really like Fergies in Fergus and Foodies Anonymous from Guelph.

What about decorating?

You can choose your own decorator.  We like Cobblestone Creations. The use of confetti, rice, flower petals, balloons, glitter, pyrotechnics and sparklers are not permitted on the property. Bird seed, grass seed and bubbles are a suitable alternative.

Do you allow pets?

Sorry, no.  We are adjacent to a working farm.

Can I have candles, fireworks, etc?

Our insurance doesn’t allow for any open flame, fireworks or propane heaters.

Do I need insurance?

Irvineside Farms has its own insurance. We require event insurance (PALS) to cover the 3 days of rental.   Outside vendors must have their own liability insurance.

What about parking?

The property has enough parking for 15 vehicles. All other guests must be bussed in  and out from another location. For safety reasons we request that there be no  parking on the road. 

Can we have a bar?

Irvineside Farms is not a licensed venue.  You are responsible for getting a liquor license.  Servers are required to have Smart Serve.

Do you have tables and chairs?

We have an assortment of indoor tables and chairs to seat 30 people we also have outdoor tables and plastic muskoka chairs. Most Couples choose to rent so they can choose their own style of seating. Royal Rentals in Guelph offers our customers a 10% discount.

Why don’t you have your own caterer and bar service?

We feel that a wedding is suppose to reflect the tastes of the couple.  We thought the best way to do that is to allow our guests to have as many choices as possible. 

How do I confirm a date and what is the payment schedule?

Booking a Date:  

A deposit of 40% of the package price, the signed contract as well as a credit card  number on file is required before the event shall be considered confirmed


A 2nd deposit (30%) is due 6 months prior to the event date and the remainder (30% of  the package) is due 3 months prior. Damage deposit is due 1 week prior to event date.  Extras are due at checkout. 

Do you have a map of the property?

Irvineside Farms is currently for sale! We are not taking bookings for 2023 and beyond.
